Design

We do not believe that your creative team should be forced to compromise because of the limitations of the site management system. With i-ntarsia any design that can be implemented in HTML/CSS can be installed in the i-ntarsia system and, therefore, managed by non-technical client staff.

How can we be so sure? In our view, there are three steps to implementing a design:

1. Core Templates

Our configuration tool, profiler lets your team load the following items which make up the core templates into the i-ntarsia system:

  • HTML page templates. These are complete HTML pages with the areas of content that need to be editable replaced by I-ntarsia System Tags (ISTs).
  • Stylesheets. Complete stylesheets for the pages you are creating.
  • Images. Any structural/design images that you need

I-ntarsia allows you to load as many templates as you need get the site built.

2. GUI Features

To make your design really stand out you will probably add some GUI features. You can do this is i-ntarsia because profiler also allows you to load:

 

  • Javascript files. Any specific functionality that you need can be added
  • Media files. Any Flash or other widgets that you may need can be added

3. Business Modules

Finally, i-ntarsia has a large library of optional business modules. Each one of these comes with a templated user interface which can be modified or recreated to create the style required.
